Get Your Track Bike Ready!

Less than a month away i will be throwing (probably) the first fixed gear only alleycat in Houston, Texas. I have been planning this for months and im still super excited to be putting this together. The reason behind this is anything but snobby, the idea behind this race is to title the best fixed gear/track bike rider in one of the biggest cities in the U.S. I am encouraging other bike riders to participate by volunteering their time to help out with working checkpoints and hanging out with other bike riders at checkpoints. Once the race is over there will be side events for people to redeem themselves or just to have some extra fun.
There will be an after party and hopefully if i can get things worked out there will be gold sprints. For those of you unfamiliar with the Texas Gold Sprint'em it is an event in its self where riders are on a track bike mounted to stationary rollers and spin their legs off for a quarter mile. Riders are set up in brackets until there is two left to leave one of them victorious. The man behind the madness is Cisco "Da Kid" Nira, a former bike messenger in Houston now personal trainer with wife and kids livin' in da 'burbs. In recent conversation Cisco mentioned that its now a four person set-up. We are still in the process of looking for location but will have it covered in time.
Here's an idea for all you bicycle cats out there.
